Arlington plans inaugural Veterans Day Parade

Head out to Arlington's Entertainment Districton on Nov.ll for the inaugural Texas Veterans Day Parade, which will feature live music, a helicopter flyover, a patriotic drone show near Globe Life Field and much more.

The parade, organized by the Texas Veterans Day Parade in Arlington Foundation and sponsored by the City of Arlington, will start with a musical prelude at 3:30 p.m. and a flyover by Bell Helicopter at approximately 4 p.m. The parade route will start to the east of the Randol Mill Road and Ballpark Way intersection. The route will then proceed west on the northside of Choctaw Stadium, loop around Texas Rangers Sienna Lot M following Nolan Ryan Expressway, AT&T Way and Pennant Drive, and then proceed north of AT&T Wayto end near the Sheraton Arlington Hotel.

The parade route includes the site of the future National Medal of Honor Museum, which will open in March 2025. The parade's grand marshal is Major General Patrick Henry Brady, a retired U.S. Army officer who received the Medalof Honor for his heroic actions in Vietnam.

"The inaugural Veterans Day Parade is yet another testament to our community's deep-rooted respect and gratitude for the brave men and women who have served our country. Arlington has a long history of supporting its veterans, and this parade is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together to honor their sacrifices and celebrate their contributions to our nation," Arlington Mayor Jim Ross said.
