The City of Mansfield recognized two churches and two local nonprofits this week with the President's Volunteer Service Award.
The Mansfield City Council honored First Methodist Mansfield, Creekwood Church and Mansfield Mission Center at Monday's council meeting. Director of Communications and Outreach Bernadette McCranie and City Volunteer Director Julie Sheffler presented the President's Volunteer Service Award to Common Ground Mansfield at the nonprofit's monthly meeting on Wednesday.
The churches and nonprofit organizations recorded thousands of hours of volunteering in the past year.
