Denise Jenkins, LCSW, is heading to Poland in May to lead a women’s conference on emotional recovery. The Christian church in Warsaw hosting the conference invited Jenkins e to address the women who are struggling with trauma, depression, and loss because of war in their homeland. The church consists of 300 members which is helping care for 50,000 Ukrainian women and children who fled the war. Jenkins is a psychotherapist based in and resident of Mansfield and owns Affect Counseling, LLC.

Some are lawyers and other professionals who are having to take fast food or temporary jobs to provide for their family while husbands/sons are fighting the war.
