The City of Mansfield and its trash service providers will begin switching residential recycling carts the week of Sept. 11.

As part of the transition from waste service provider Republic Services to Frontier Waste Solutions, residents will receive new recycle carts.

Residents should set their green recycle carts at the curb on their recycling day the week of Sept. 11. Households should leave the green cart at the curb until it can be picked up by Republic, which may not be the same day.

Crews will also drop off a blue recycle cart from Frontier Waste Solutions beginning that same week. Residents should begin using the new blue recycle cart once it is delivered.

Frontier Waste Solutions will be the city’s official waste services provider Oct. 1. Residents will still receive twice-a-week manual trash pickup and once-a-week automated cart recycling. At that time the company will implement a new routing schedule for improved efficiency with Mansfield’s growth. Households may see changes to the trash and recycling pick up.
