The first week of varsity football play proved to be a mixed bag for Mansfield ISD teams with three bringing home wins and two losses.
Lake Ridge downed Summit 50-27, Timberview got past South Grand Prairie 34-30 and Mansfield dropped Waco Midway 31-14. Legacy fell to Richland 49-31.
This week, crosstown rivals Mansfield and Summit meet at 7 p.m. at Newsom Stadium.
Timberview takes on Sam Houston at 7 p.m. Thursday at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington.
Legacy takes on Crowley at 7 p.m. Friday at R.L. Anderson Stadium, and Lake Ridge will be at Boswell at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
