The Texas Art Education Association announced Mansfield ISD is a winner of the 2022 District of Distinction Award. More than 1,200 districts were eligible to apply, and only 59 districts met the high standard placing them in the top 4 percent of art education districts in the state.

“In Mansfield ISD, we set a standard of excellence in everything we do including our fine arts curriculum,” said Superintendent of Schools Kimberley Cantu. “This acknowledgement that our educators are providing the opportunities for creativity and student growth at the highest levels is an honor.”

MISD received the award for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social emotional learning that connect learners to their community and beyond.
