Eight Mansfield ISD students received top honors at The YMCA National Judicial Competition held in St. Paul, Minn. The district’s YMCA Youth and Government team earned fifth place in the trial court division of the competition. Congratulations to these students:

The competition is part of the YMCA Youth and Government program, where students learn about the judicial system through model judicial components such as an appellate court or trial court as well as legislative procedures. Experiences like this align with Vision 2030, the district’s strategic plan ensuring students are college, career, and life ready.
Students qualified for the district competition in November 2022 then moved on to the state level in March, where they placed third in Texas and qualified for nationals.
