The culinary team from Ben Barber Career Innovation Academy served up treats at the Taste of Mansfield on Thursday night.

The Mansfield Mission Center drew a huge crowd for the 12th annual Taste of Mansfield at The Grand View on Thursday night.

More than 550 people attended the annual fund-raiser for the non-profit group that provides food and medical care for people in need in Mansfield.

"It's incredible to see our community turn out to support what we do," said Brian McFadden, executive director of the mission center. "Every dollar we make will go to someone in the Mansfield community."

Thirty-nine restaurants - up from 22 last year - served up samples of their food to the crowd, which also shopped the silent auction. The event attracted even more sponsors this year, too, McFadden said.
