Four injured in shooting at Timberview High School

Four people were injured in a shooting Wednesday morning, including three students, at Mansfield Timberview High School. Three have been hospitalized.

Police are searching for 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins of Arlington, who is considered a person of interest in the shooting. Simpkins is driving a silver 2018 Dodge Charger with license plate PFY6260. Simpkins is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots him should call 911 immediately.

The shooting occurred after a fight between students at approximately 9:15 a.m. in a second-floor classroom at Timberview High School, 7700 S. Watson Road in Arlington.

The 2,000-student campus is being evacuated with students transported to the Mansfield ISD Center for Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane. Parents and guardians can pick up their children there.

Some students who were witnesses to the shooting are being detained at the Timberview campus.
