The Mansfield ISD football teams boast a three-team homestand this week, starting with Thursday’s opening game.
Timberview (9-2 in 2023) will play host to Dallas Kimball at 7 p.m. at Vernon Newsom Stadium. The Wolves, now sharing District 3-5A Division II with Summit, reached the Class 5A Division I bidistrict playoff round last season.
On Friday, Summit (8-4 in 2023) is one of two Mansfield ISD teams taking to the road to open the season. The Jaguars, who advanced to the Class 5A Division II area round last year – the deepest playoff run by a Mansfield team – visit Lewisville at 7 p.m. Friday at Max Goldsmith Stadium.
Mansfield (6-4 in 2023) is the other district team on the road, journeying to face Mesquite Horn at 7 p.m. Friday at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.
Legacy (3-7 in 2023) will face Justin Northwest at 7 p.m. Friday at R.L. Anderson Stadium.
Lake Ridge (0-10 in 2023) will meet Frisco Reedy at 7 p.m. Friday at Vernon Newsom Stadium.
This season, tickets for Mansfield, Legacy and Lake Ridge varsity games will cost $7 for adults and $5 for students through 12th grade. Timberview and Summit varsity games will cost $6 for adults and $3 for students. No season tickets are available this season.
