The Timberview girls basketball team qualified for the UIL State Basketball Tournament after defeating Argyle over the weekend in the 5A Region I final.
The Lady Wolves will play Cedar Park at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 29 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The winner of the semifinal game will play in the championship at 3 p.m. March 2.
Head coach Kit Martin and her team have been ranked No. 1 by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches the entire season. Timberview has won 36 games in a row and this is the team’s sixth trip to state in 16 years.
“We have a goal this year, and that’s to win a state championship, period,” Martin said.
Tickets are available here. For those who can’t make the trip to San Antonio, the game will be streamed live on the NFHS network.
