National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems broke ground last week week for its new production facility in Mansfield. The City of Mansfield and Crystal leaders celebrated with a ceremony at the site, attended by local and state elected officials. A proclamation from Texas Governor Greg Abbott was also presented to Crystal.

The Mansfield location will be the sixth major manufacturing plant for Crystal in the nation. Crystal currently has major production facilities in New York, Pennsylvania, California, Missouri and Illinois. Plans call for the development of the 46-acre Mansfield site in phases, with a total of over 600,000 square feet of production space and over 500 skilled jobs once fully completed over the next few years. Site preparation is underway. Plans for the initial phase of construction are being finalized and construction is expected to start in 2025.

“Crystal was thrilled to choose Texas and the strategic location of Mansfield as our next step in expansion and to be part of the economic growth of Texas," said Bill Renaud, General Manager for Crystal Texas said. "We appreciate the support and encouragement Crystal has received from every level of government in Texas, including the City of Mansfield."
