Methodist wins Glassdoor award

Methodist Health System has been named a winner of Glassdoor’s 17th annual Employees’ Choice Awards, honoring the top 100 Best Places to Work in 2025. Unlike other workplace awards, Best Places to Work is based on the input of employees who voluntarily provided anonymous feedback about their employer, job and work environment over the past year.

“We are honored to receive Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work 2025 award,” said James C. Scoggin, Jr., Chief Executive Officer at Methodist. “It is especially meaningful because it is based entirely on the feedback of employees, whom we as leaders are here to support and serve.”

This recognition underscores the important role team members play in building a trusted talent brand and culture of excellence. The candid feedback of current and former employees, shared through Glassdoor, highlights key workplace attributes such as career opportunities, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, and work-life balance. Their voices not only affirm Methodist’s position as a top employer but also guide our ongoing journey to improve, innovate and provide compassionate, quality care.

When employees submit reviews about their employer on Glassdoor, they are asked to share their opinions on some of the best reasons to work for their employer, as well as any downsides, and they are encouraged to provide advice to management. In addition, employees are asked to rate how satisfied they are with their employer overall, their CEO, and with key workplace attributes. Employees are also asked whether they would recommend their employer to a friend and whether they believe their employer’s six-month business outlook is positive or negative, or if they have no opinion.

Winners for Best Places to Work are determined using Glassdoor’s proprietary awards algorithm, and each employer’s rating is determined based on the quantity, quality, and consistency of Glassdoor-approved company reviews submitted by U.S.-based employees between Oct. 17, 2023, and Oct. 16, 2024. During the yearlong eligibility period, employers considered for the large list must have received at least 75 ratings for each of the nine workplace attributes: overall company rating, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, work-life balance, recommend to a friend and six-month business outlook.  

The final list is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, led by its Economic Research Team, and considers quantity, quality, and consistency of reviews.
