The hospital has once again received an “A” grade from The Leapfrog Group for the Spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade—marking consecutive top honors for patient safety. This distinction reflects the organization’s steadfast dedication to providing the highest level of care and maintaining rigorous safety standards for every patient served.

In addition, Methodist Mansfield was honored by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council during its annual awards luncheon, themed “Be Extraordinary,” which drew more than 700 healthcare leaders from across the region. Among 14 distinguished recipients, two Methodist Mansfield team members were recognized for their exceptional contributions:

Nancy Georgekutty, MD, was named Physician of the Year, honoring her clinical excellence and leadership.

Sarah Birdwell, nurse extern, received the Rex McRae Scholarship, recognizing her dedication and promise in the nursing profession.

Further reinforcing its commitment to excellence, Methodist Mansfield’s Wound Center earned the Healogics Center of Distinction Award, a recognition achieved through consistently high performance and measurable outcomes.
