Mansfield ISD earns a B from TEA

The Texas Education Agency released its 2026 A–F Accountability Ratings, with Mansfield ISD maintaining a B rating for the 2025–26 school year.

The district earned an overall score of 87, holding steady from the previous year. While the districtwide rating remained consistent, several campuses showed considerable progress.

Most notably, all eight Mansfield ISD high schools received an A rating, meaning every high school in the district is rated as high achieving. Additionally, all seven middle schools are now rated either A or B, and the district once again has no campuses with a failing rating.

Several campuses also made significant movement in their overall ratings. Glenn Harmon Elementary School, previously rated a D, improved two letter grades to a high B with an overall score of 86, while T.A. Howard Middle School moved from a C to a B. In total, six campuses moved one or two letter grades from the previous year, while 16 campuses maintained their letter grade.

“I’m incredibly proud of the work our teachers are doing to ensure every student is learning and reaching their full potential,” said Mansfield ISD Superintendent Tiffanie Spencer. “As a continuous improvement district, we are committed to evaluating the data, refining our processes and making the necessary adjustments to provide the best learning environment for all of our students.”

The district’s results align with the goals outlined in Vision 2030, Mansfield ISD’s strategic plan, which focuses on ensuring students are inspired, educated and prepared to become productive citizens. The plan establishes clear academic expectations, including students reading on grade level or higher by the beginning of third grade and maintaining that level throughout their MISD experience, demonstrating mastery of Algebra II by the end of 11th grade, and graduating college, career or life ready.

To help drive progress toward these goals, Mansfield ISD has developed scorecards with projected measures of success for students, campuses, departments and the Board of Trustees. These tools provide a framework for monitoring progress, identifying areas for advancement and making data-informed decisions across the district.

“Everyone within our district — whether they’re a teacher, bus driver, administrator or custodian — is part of a team that contributes to the success of our students,” said Mansfield ISD Board President Jandel Crutchfield. “Our goal is to ensure Mansfield ISD continues to be a place where families and employees want to be and stay for years to come.”

As Mansfield ISD continues its focus on student achievement, district leaders will use the accountability results and other measures of student performance to identify opportunities for growth and build on the progress taking place across campuses.
