North Texas SC wins on shootout

North Texas SC (7-8-8, 33 points) won the extra-point shootout after drawing 1-1 in regulation against MNUFC2 (8-10-5, 31 points) to add two points on Saturday night at Texas Health Mansfield. Ricky Louis scored the lone goal for North Texas.

Forward Ricky Louis scored his fourth goal of the season in added time of the first half. Louis now stands alone in third for the most goals scored for the club this season. The Georgia Southern alum was selected third overall by FC Dallas in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft in December and made his FC Dallas debut on March 7.

For the third time this season, North Texas SC went five-for-five in the extra-point shootout. Natty James, Edu Nys, Timmy Ospina, Caleb Swann and Enzo Newman all converted.

North Texas SC’s record against MNUFC2 improves to 11-2-1.
