ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Mansfield has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Stroke Rehabilitation Certification, a nationally recognized symbol of quality that reflects the hospital's commitment to providing safe, high-quality, evidence-based stroke rehabilitation.

The certification was awarded following a rigorous on-site review by a Joint Commission surveyor, who evaluated the hospital's compliance with national standards for stroke rehabilitation. The review assessed the hospital's patient care processes, interdisciplinary approach to treatment, use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, performance improvement efforts, and commitment to helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes following a stroke.

“We are extremely proud to earn The Joint Commission’s Stroke Rehabilitation Certification,” says Lucky Fischer, Chief Executive Officer of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Mansfield. “This accomplishment speaks to the skill and compassion of our entire care team and the collaborative approach we bring to every patient. Our goal is always to help people make meaningful progress, get back home as quickly as possible, and achieve the highest level of independence.”

The certification is part of The Joint Commission's voluntary Disease-Specific Care Certification program, which recognizes organizations that meet rigorous standards for delivering specialized, evidence-based care. Certification requirements focus on:

Compliance with national standards.

Use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.

Ongoing performance measurement and continuous quality improvement.

Organizations earning certification demonstrate their commitment to improving patient outcomes through standardized, high-quality care and continuous performance improvement.

“While a stroke can dramatically alter a person’s life, it doesn’t have to determine what comes next,” says Dr. Kurt Voss, Medical Director of ClearSky Mansfield. “Our entire team works together to support patients as they regain their abilities and independence. Earning this certification reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional stroke rehabilitation and continually improving the care we provide.”

ClearSky Mansfield is a 30-bed medical rehabilitation hospital that provides specialized inpatient rehabilitation services to patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other medically-complex conditions.
