Death World, a post apocalyptic comedy, tells the story of Gage, a misanthrope looking for his next hit, who gets thrown into an adventurous search for a map rumored to reverse the apocalypse. Backed by a mischievous goblin, Rue, the swaggering Philly, and Sancho, servant to a powerful sorceress, they explore the wasteland in search of the rumored map while trying to avoid the sentinel who caused the end of the world.
Death World takes inspiration from cult dystopian films and the grindhouse style of the 1970s/80s. For fans of The Warriors, Escape From New York and Mad Max series.
Short film screening to also feature previews from independent filmmakers from all over Texas and from Troma Entertainment, the longest running independent film studio in North America.
