Mansfield Record
Mansfield voters will have a lot to decide at the polls this fall.
In addition to the presidential election, there’s a race for a U.S. Senate seat, U.S. Representatives, state senators, representatives, constable and more.
In Mansfield, voters will also need to decide whether to allow sales of alcohol for off-site consumption. Currently, Mansfield allows sales of wine and beer between noon and midnight on Sunday, between 7 a.m. and midnight, Monday through Friday, and between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m. on Saturday. If approved, the measure would allow stores within the Mansfield city limits to also sell packaged liquor.
The special election, which will be held in conjunction with the general election, was unanimously approved by the Mansfield City Council on Aug. 12 after a petition with 9,122 registered voters was submitted to the city.
The general election will be held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 5. Click here for polling locations.
