The Mansfield Emergency Alert System has been updated and allows residents to receive various emergency alerts and public service announcements.

In addition to the time restricted weather alerts offered, the updated system now features more 24/7 options for receiving alerts. In order for residents to receive weather alerts that are geographically applicable to them, a home address will be necessary when they sign up.

"We are pleased to be able to update our weather alert software and provide residents with more options and features in the alerts they receive," said Emergency Management Coordinator Greg Cutler.
